SEPTEMBER 2026 NEWSLETTER
September 2026 Announcement
As of September 2026, our total membership has reached 127.
1. September 2026 In Terms Of The Environment And KTTD
September stands out as a month for assessing the relationship between the environment and human health, as well as the management of environmental risks in chemical transport and the importance of sustainability practices in the tanker cleaning sector.
World Environmental Health Day, observed every year on 26 September, aims to draw attention to the effects of environmental conditions on human health and to emphasise the importance of a healthy, safe and sustainable environment.
As The Turkish Association Of Chemical Transport Equipment Cleaners (KTTD), we emphasise the importance, for public health and the protection of the environment, of managing chemical residues and waste in compliance with legislation, keeping wastewater under control, using resources efficiently and developing environmental responsibility awareness in tanker cleaning activities.
2. Member Activities And Cleaning Certificates
The tanker and transport container cleaning certificates used within KTTD are important for recording cleaning operations and monitoring the processes for controlling residues that may originate from previous loads. Appropriate recording and certification practices can also help prevent unnecessary repeat washing and support more effective management of resource use.
Cleaning certificate usage data for September 2026 are summarised below;
◆ Transport container cleaning certificate: 1,327. An 82.4% decrease compared with the same period of September 2025.
◆ Tanker cleaning certificate: 3,146. A 34.6% increase compared with the same period of September 2025.
The total number of cleaning certificates used in September 2026 was 4,473. Tanker cleaning certificates made up about 70.3% of the total, and transport container cleaning certificates made up 29.7%.
These indicators show that the year-on-year change moved in different directions in the two certificate categories. To assess the reasons for these changes, it is important to examine activity volume, certificate usage habits and the operational data for the relevant periods together.
