How to Become a Member

KTTD (The Turkish Association Of Chemical Transport Equipment Cleaners) membership is open to all licensed cleaning stations operating in the cleaning of tank/tanker-type vehicles/equipment, or packaging such as IBCs, plastic drums and jerrycans, holding the relevant Environmental Permit And Licence or Temporary Activity Certificate. In addition, companies operating in the chemical and logistics sectors, which are sector stakeholders even though they do not operate in the cleaning sector itself, may also become members of KTTD. Furthermore, KTTD members are legal entities. The first step towards membership is to contact the association. Following the application, certain official documents relating to the facility are requested alongside the application form. (Official documents: a declaration that the facility has not received an "environmental penalty" within the last year, tax registration certificate, trade registry gazette record, facility operating licence, signature circular of the authorised persons, activity certificate obtained from the relevant Chamber of Commerce, operating certificate where held, discharge certificate showing where wastewater is discharged, and similar documents.) The requested documents are reviewed and, if found suitable, an association entrance fee and the annual membership fee for the relevant year are requested; membership is completed by a decision of the KTTD Board of Directors following payment. Before the Cleaning Certificate and Cleaning Label can be used, it is a precondition that the relevant Environmental Permit And Licence or Temporary Activity Certificate is requested, since unlicensed facilities cannot carry out cleaning operations and cannot use, or issue to their customers, the Cleaning Certificate and/or Cleaning Label. The KTTD software system that enables the use of the Cleaning Certificate and Cleaning Label is closed to access on the day the relevant Environmental Permit And Licence or Temporary Activity Certificate expires, preventing facilities without a current licence, and/or unlicensed facilities, from obtaining a Cleaning Certificate/Cleaning Label.
